DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — J. Scott Penny, chief acquisitions officer of Brown & Brown Inc., and Randy Crisorio, the owner of United Development Systems Inc., announced that Brown & Brown of Kentucky Inc., a subsidiary of Brown & Brown Inc., has acquired substantially all of the assets of UDS.
Since its founding by Crisorio in 1982, UDS has been a leader in the F&I performance and compliance management segment, particularly among auto dealers in Florida and the Southeast. Crisorio and the UDS team have been recognized by the F&I industry over multiple years, including a record-long stretch of top honors in the F&I Training category in the annual Dealers’ Choice Awards.
Executives said the UDS team, which includes vice presidents Jeff Crisorio and Brian Crisorio, will become part of Brown & Brown Dealer Services, which operates under the leadership of Mike Neal, president of Brown & Brown of Kentucky Inc.
“Randy, along with his sons Jeff and Brian, has established UDS as an industry recognized leader in F&I training,” Neal said. “The UDS team gives us an established presence in Florida and the Southeast. Also, the UDS training and technology resources will enhance our national platform to service our dealer partners across the country. Doug has enjoyed a highly successful career where, after enjoying more than a decade on the retail side, he transitioned to the service side. “John has spent nearly 30 years in the automotive retail environment, with the bulk of that time spent training dealership staff to sell more and earn more,” said Randy Crisorio, president of UDS. “Having such a seasoned veteran join our team will undoubtedly bolster our position in the marketplace and advance our training programs exponentially.”
Tabar has led training programs at the executive level for a large, multinational F&I player. Additionally, John has authored and delivered training materials for industry events, state associations and dealer groups as well as his firm’s LMS/elearning platform, a training medium that UDS itself has just launched.
John’s responsibilities with UDS will include authoring new and impactful training material, as well as delivering F&I, sales and sales management seminars nationwide, according to the company.
